This is one of the first restaurants -if not the first- in San Salvador who took the challenge to offer healthy vegetarian/vegan food. I personally love their breakfast menu, it is abundant, cheap, healthy and they have a coffee that is made with herbs and corn that is great option for people who can't drink real coffee. I recommend you take the time to visit this place, they also have many shops inside from entrepreneurs selling their products. Besides the food, I love the fact that they support other businesses.

Plaza Kalpataru was a pleasant surprise!!. After having visited El Salvador multiple occasions, I was finally introduced to this cozy, eclectic and pleasant restaurant by some of our friends.We arrived for breakfast. Their Tipico Salvadoreño is the best I've had while eating out!!. I also had their amazing home made pancakes with honey and berries syrup...spectacular!!I'm sure the other items on the menu are just as good.The prices are very reasonable for such wholesome style of food.Higly recommended!!
